BOILER CHALLENGE - IMPORTANT INFO
It is VERY important that you share this information with your group!
WEATHER and ATTIRE
The Boiler Challenge is held in nearly all types of weather, so be prepared! This is an outdoor activity, and weather is just one more element in the challenge. Cancellations will occur in cases where the weather may cause imminent danger on the course, such as lightning or heavy rain. The Boiler Challenge is outdoors in a lightly wooded area, and there is a chance that you will get dirty. Wear clothing that you will not mind “scruffing” up a bit.
Shoes should be: Close toed, No sandals, flip flops, etc. Wear durable and comfortable shoes such as sneakers, running shoes, or hiking boots. *You will absolutely not be permitted on the high team challenge course without proper footwear. You may also be limited on low challenge elements that you are permitted to participate in.
Clothing should be: Loose, Casual, Durable, Comfortable, Layered (suitable to the season)
Water: Water will be provided. However, participants are more than welcome to bring their own water, sport drink, etc. It is highly recommended that in warm weather, participants on the High Challenge Course bring a water bottle with a loop that can be attached to your harness.
*High Challenge Participants: There is a 300 lb. per person weight limit on the zip line. If you have reason to believe this could affect your group, please contact Kathy Lawhead at 765-494-3111 to make arrangements/modifications.
Jewelry, Watches, Head Gear, Sunglasses: Are best left at home or in your car in a safe place as we ask that they be removed before going on most elements of the course. Head gear that could come in contact with other participants or elements, such as baseball caps, visors, etc., may need to be removed on some elements.
Glasses and Contact Lens Wearers: Take any precautions that you would normally take when participating in outdoor activities in order to protect your eyes and your eyewear.
